Fashion Changeling

So I don't know if you guys have heard of the new model Lea T, she is beautiful exotic and has a sick body. She also has a little something extra... Lea T is transgender. While this is a touchy subject for most people I think it is extremely refreshing that the fashion world is opening their eyes to all types of bodies. Beauty is no longer being defined, by size or height, or sexual orientation.
Although many people believe the fashion world is extremely fickle, they have opened their eyes to different types of people. For once I can honestly say we can all learn something from the fashion world.

I'm Starting To Feel Like The Velveteen Rabbit

So I feel like the one of the trends most fashionistas/fashionesters are most split on is the velvet trend. While most of the bloggers I follow hate it I am an absolute fiend for velvet, it is actually getting kinda gross. This fall i have purchased not one but two velvet dresses and a velvet blazer. Yesterday I even put in an order for velvet rouched leggings. I honestly may need to put myself in velvet rehab.
I don't get why so many fashion people out there are against velvet, its a great fall/winter material. For example I am wearing a very simple long sleeved baby doll dress but because it's velvet I feel a bit spiffier. I think it just looks so luxe and comfy.
Anyways here are some of my velvet suggestions, as well as a picture of me looking a fool trying to take a picture on photobooth. The things I do for my readers....

Free People ( I own this heh)
Forever 21 (This too)

Urban Outfitters (Just ordered these bad boys/ Also seen in NYLON this month)

Uninspired.

So readers lately I have to say that I have been less than inspired by the fashion and street fashion I have been seeing. I am currently tired of this hipster chic that every girl is sporting and every store is selling. I mean I feel like I have even fallen into a rut just putting my chambray shirt over everything. So tell me readers what would you like see more of in the fashion industry?
So here is  a little fashion candy/my current inspiration Ms. Leighton Meester looking fab in a recent magazine.

My Trip to Brazil....

Just kidding! This weekend I got a Brazilian Keratin treatment on my hair. I started out with tight spiral curls and walked out of the shower this morning with straight hair. I have to say at first I wanted to cry because I didn't want my curls gone I just wanted them relaxed, however I have never had such an easy time with my hair. It refuses to frizz but at the same time it refuses to hold any curl.
I definitely recommend this treatment to girls who want straight hair without the damage but I am not sure how I feel about my hair just yet. I was told that the hair will loosen up a bit I was hoping to look a bit more Gisele Bundchen, Kate Hudson or even Mary-Kate so we will see....I am very anxious to see how my hair changes. Until then I will be enjoying the ability to brush my hair without creating a cotton candy mess.
Stay tuned for pictures!

So I recently feel in love with this Tibi Jumpsuit, it is great and super wearable however it is laso completely out of my price range. This little number was worn Kelly Osbourne and is now being featured on elle.com. For those of you out there who are craving this head to toe lace look like me, a less wearable but more affordable version is available from americanapparel.net. Now I am going to go dream a little.....

Burrrr Furrr

So with winter I am finding it significantly harder to look cute bundled up but I may have have found my savior in furry boots. I know, I know a little gaudy but trust me you put them on and your outfit is complete. I recently bought a super reasonable pair from Isabel Toledo for Payless. Although they are not available online they are totally worth the trip to the store.
Go to www.payless.com to see more of the collection.

Apologies!!

Hey everyone who actually cared enough to read this. I am so sorry I have been such a bad aspiring fashion blogger. I will quickly fix this so stay tuned!
